San Marcelino, Zambales - Twenty researchers participated in the seminar – workshop titled “Assessment of Productivity Enhancement Measures (PEMs) on Mango Trees in Central Luzon” at Organic Mango Center, Ramon Magsaysay Technological University (RMTU – SM) San Marcelino campus on July 3, 2017.
The objectives of seminar –workshop were to address the issues on unproductive tress and to make a counter measures on productivity enhancement particularly in region 3.
The participants of the said seminar workshop were from the State Universities and Colleges, such as Central Luzon State University, Bataan Peninsula State University, Pampanga State Agricultural University, Bulacan Agricultural State College, Tarlac Agricultural State University, and RMTU as lead agency.
During the seminar-workshop, lectures on “Rehabilitation Techniques for Unproductive Mango Trees” and Integrated Pest Management (IPM’s) protocol were carried out. The participants were provided with the monitoring forms to ensure uniform data to be gathered.
Meanwhile, to ensure the success of project implementation, the seminar workshop briefed the program implementers about technologies/measures to be implemented. The implementers will then develop their respective implementing procedures considering uniqueness of environmental and mango trees conditions in their respective locations.
