In celebration of International Women’s Month, we honor the remarkable contributions of women in agriculture. Today, we proudly feature Dr. Liza G. Battad, the Executive Director III of the Philippine Carabao Center (PCC) and Vice Chair of the Regional Research and Development Coordinating Committee (RRDCC) of CLAARRDEC.
Dr. Battad passionately shares, “Agriculture has long been the backbone of our economy, and the vital role of women as key drivers of the industry is now being highly recognized. Here at DA-PCC, women are at the forefront of the Carabao Development Program—creating positive change in research, fieldwork, and leadership. Naturally gifted with the ability to nurture, DA-PCC women are excelling in genetic improvement, enterprise development, and research for development.”
