The Central Luzon Agriculture and Resources Research and Development Consortium or CLARRDEC is a conglomeration of 26 agencies and institutions within Central Luzon conducting or promoting research and development in agriculture, forestry and natural resources which have been grouped to work together along specific objectives, share expertise and resources and complement each other to push further the horizon of R & D in the region.
In coordination with the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCARRD) and the Regional Development Council (RDC) of Central Luzon, CLARRDEC is mandated to review ad update R & D efforts in relation to regional needs in agriculture, fisheries, forestry and natural resources. It is tasked to prepare, monitor and assess the implementation of research and development programs/projects/activities in Region III. It is also mandated to help facilitate the development of capabilities of its member-agencies.
CLARRDEC as a model consortium dedicated to excellence in research and development, technology management, capability upgrading and resource generation for sustainable development and global competitiveness.
To develop strategies and implement a responsive system of research and extension management for accelerating and sustaining regional development goal with the end in view of maximizing the generation, verification, dissemination, exchange of information and utilization of research results.
